Creative Hobbies by Interstiss

INTERSTISS is a publisher and manufacturer of craft products: needlepoint canvases, embroidery, cross stitch, latch hook, and fabric cuts, dedicated to wholesalers and haberdashery retailers.

Established in 1997 in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, our company relies on more than 40 employees to design and distribute 100% French-made products.

    Maison Interstiss brings together 9 major brands, such as:

  • SEG de PARIS and MARGOT de PARIS, historic needlepoint brands, created in the 1960s in France.
  • Princesse and Marie Cœur, leading names in cross stitch and traditional embroidery.
  • Margot Broderie and Brodélia, specialists in embroidered home linens (tablecloths, table runners, doilies).
  • Smyrnalaine: the expert brand in latch hook rugs made with thick Woolmark wool.
  • Collection Privée: a brand dedicated to sewing and garment making, offering fabric cuts with a variety of designs.
  • Brod’star: a brand dedicated to the foundation of every successful project: the canvas.

There are many embroidery techniques and stitches: cross stitch, stem stitch, straight stitch, blanket stitch, and many others that are often lesser-known.

Twisted Cotton: Matte, flexible, and soft.
Wool: Bright colors, ideal for half stitch.
Pearl Cotton: Shiny and twisted.
Stranded Cotton: Satin-like, made of 6 strands.
